Additionally, you may use mobile applications such as timers, reminders, alarms, or other notification sounds. For all these, the sound feature in your mobile phone is very important. When all of these features don’t comply with your sound expectations, you may get frustrated. You will certainly want to have a great sound on your phone. If the sound feature is not working, you will surely want to fix sound issues as soon as possible, right?

Sometimes, there may be some serious sound issues with your phone, but most of the time, you are fortunate because you can try some simple troubleshooting issues. Here are some of the tips to fix sound issues on your phone.

Tips to fix sound issues on an iPhone or Android

Check the audio volume level

The first thing that we suggest you do is to check your volume and make sure that it is functioning well. If you are an iPhone user, first, go to the “Settings” button. You will find the “Sound & Haptics” option there; click it. There you will find a volume bar below “Ringers and Alerts,” which you need to drag to the right to increase the volume of your phone. If you are able to hear noise while doing so, your speaker now works.

If you are an Android user, you have your volume button on the side, which you need to use to increase the audio levels. You may also use the volume slider that you can see on your screen when you hold down the volume button. To then have to click on the down button, which is beside the slider. Try to maximize the audio by dragging it to the furthest right. Your simple sound issue now may be fixed.

Disable “Do Not Disturb”

Your phone will not produce any sound if you have enabled the “Do Not Disturb” feature of your phone. All your calls and app notifications will get into “Silent Mode” when you enable “Do Not disturb”. If you want sound on your phone for your incoming calls and other notification, always remember to disable the “Do Not Disturb” mode.

Turn off Bluetooth

If you have your phone connected to a Bluetooth device, your phone sends a signal to the speaker instead of your phone speaker. Therefore, you need to turn off the “Bluetooth” function of your phone to check if the sound feather on your phone is actually working. If you are an iPhone user, go to “Settings,” where you will find the “Bluetooth” option. You need to switch off the “Bluetooth” by clicking on the toggle. If you have an Android phone, click on the “connected Device” under “Settings.” There you will find the “Bluetooth” option, which you need to switch off to fix the potential sound issue.

Sound testing on a headset

You may now use a headset to evaluate the sound quality of your phone. If your phone lacks an audio jack, you can use a Bluetooth headset or speaker to replace it. Alternatively, if you have one of the most recent iPhone models, you can use the lightning port to connect headphones. If the sound works, it could indicate that there is a hardware issue.

Reset your phone

Finally, if everything else fails, you can restore your phone to factory settings. Before you begin, make a backup of your data and photos to avoid losing them.

If you are an iPhone user, go to “Settings,” where you will find the “Reset” button under “Genera.” Click the “Reset All Settings” button. Your phone sound issue is now solved unless it has some serious damage.

If you are an Android user, go to “Settings” and click on “Advanced” under the “System” feature. You will have to click on “Reset Options” and then “Erase all data” under it. Your phone’s sound is now ready to pop.

Your phone’s sound is an integral feature that you must have to have a fully functioning phone with you. Sometimes, you may experience some sound issues in your phone, but with the tips mentioned above, your phone will be ready to use with full sound on unless it has some other serious hardware issues.
